“All eyes must be on Al-Shifa hospital. This is the only functioning governmental hospital left in Gaza City. Most organizations and medical crews have already left, and now there are only around fifteen doctors covering all departments. Every patient from Gaza city is being sent there for treatment. Drones are shooting, and tanks are just five hundred meters away. Families whom are displaced go there , they have no food, no water, and the situation is absolutely critical. Yet there is almost no press coverage. Please, we must speak up, we must share this—because right now, all eyes must be on Al-Shifa hospital.”

‘It is a bloodbath’: Australian medic describes situation at Gaza hospital
Dr Saya Aziz, working at al-Shifa Hospital, says she has lost count of the number of amputations she has had to perform.
An Australian medic working at Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital says she has lost count of the number of amputations she has had to perform, as two more hospitals were shut down amid Israel’s relentless bombardment of the enclave.
“On the first day, I started off thinking I’ve never seen anything like this, and then in the following days I’ve seen … more. I’ve lost count of the number of amputations I’ve done,” Dr Saya Aziz, an anaesthesiologist, told Al Jazeera.
“The worst thing is these patients are alive … when we take them into the [operation] theatre they’re alive, they’re bleeding to death,” she said, adding how in the recess area of the hospital, dangling bits of toes and flesh and people with missing limbs have become a common sight.
Targeting of health facilities, medical personnel and patients is considered a war crime under the 1949 Geneva Convention.

Al-Shifa Director: Gaza’s health system collapsing, only ending genocide can help
Wednesday 3-September-2025

GAZA, (PIC)
Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, said that the health and humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has reached its worst stage since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, warning of a complete collapse of the health system.
In a statement on his Facebook page on Tuesday, Abu Salmiya explained that hospitals are filled to capacity, with bed occupancy rates reaching between 250% and 300%, while medical departments are witnessing a sharp increase in wound infections.
He added that last August recorded the highest number of famine-related deaths since the start of the aggression, with expectations of a further rise in deaths in the coming period due to the continued lack of food.
He stressed that medicines and medical supplies have reached a critical stage, with shortages exceeding 60%. Stocks of anesthetics, platinum, plaster, emergency and surgical drugs, antibiotics, as well as cancer and chronic disease medications have completely run out.
He pointed out that these medicines are unavailable even in health centers, international organizations, or private pharmacies.
Abu Salmiya explained that displacement camps are witnessing a wide spread of respiratory and skin diseases, along with an increase in cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome, worsening the health crisis for Palestinians.
On the humanitarian level, he said that residents are enduring repeated displacement under harsh conditions, without enough food or safe drinking water, as daily-use water is mixing with sewage.
Abu Salmiya concluded by stressing that “only stopping the genocide can resolve these crises and their consequences,” calling on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the war.

Gaza doctors refuse to leave patients despite intensifying Israeli ground assault
The hospital was once the largest medical complex in the Gaza Strip, but most of it now lies in ruins after several rounds of intense Israeli ground and air sieges since the start of the war in October 2023. Palestinians still view it as a symbol of strength and resilience.

Hamas: Israeli drone attacks on Sumud Flotilla “acts of terrorism”
Wednesday 24-September-2025
GAZA, (PIC)
The Hamas Movement has condemned Israeli drone attacks on several Gaza-bound ships from the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, calling them “acts of terrorism” and a “dangerous behavior paving the way for more severe assaults on the flotilla and its participating activists.”
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas accused the Israeli occupation of attempting to dissuade the participants in the flotilla from finishing their humanitarian mission and delivering aid to the embattled people of Gaza, “who are facing systematic campaigns of genocide and starvation.”
The Movement urged the international community, the UN and their human rights organizations to take immediate and effective measures to protect the flotilla and its crews and ensure the delivery of aid to the civilians under siege in Gaza.
Organizers of the Gaza-bound aid flotilla reported Israeli attacks on their boats at dawn Wednesday and seeing multiple drones around the fleet, which is made up of more than 500 people, including prominent environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
The Global Sumud Flotilla which was sailing near Greece as of early Wednesday also saw its communications “jammed,” its organizers said in a statement.
“We are witnessing these psychological operations first-hand, right now, but we will not be intimidated,” they added.
In an online video shared by the flotilla organizers overnight, a bright light can be seen piercing the darkness, before a loud blast rings out. They said that the video was filmed from one of its boats, “Specter,” and that it captured one of the explosions heard by crew members.
Meanwhile, Italian defense minister Guido Crosetto condemned on Wednesday the Israeli drone attacks on the Global Sumud Flotilla as it left Greece en route towards Gaza.
He added that Italy was sending a naval ship to be nearby if the flotilla required assistance. “The vessel is already en route to the area for possible rescue operations,” Crosetto wrote on X.
“In a democracy, demonstrations and forms of protest must also be protected when they are carried out in accordance with international law and without resorting to violence,” Crosetto said.

ISRAEL ESCALATES DANGEROUS ATTACKS AGAINST GLOBAL SUMUD FLOTILLA DAYS BEFORE GAZA ARRIVAL
September 23, 2025
—
Explosions, Heavy Drone Swarms, and Communications Jamming Signals Pretext for Possible Israeli Attack on 500+ Civilian volunteers Global – In the final days before reaching Gaza, the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) is experiencing an alarmingly dangerous escalation, with multiple boats reporting targeted explosions and unidentified objects being dropped on and near the boats, causing significant damage and widespread obstruction in communications.
This comes on top of a sustained campaign of intimidation and disinformation by Israel, aimed at discrediting and endangering the 500+ unarmed civilians aboard the flotilla who are attempting to deliver food and medical supplies to Gaza to help end Israel’s illegal blockade.
Explosions and Jamming: Tonight, at least 13 explosions were heard on and around several flotilla boats, with widespread disruption in communications, raising urgent concerns for the safety of participants.
Drones Overhead: In the past 24 hours, more than 15 low-altitude drones have hovered above the Alma boat, appearing roughly every 10 minutes.
Unidentified Objects Dropped: Flotilla participants reported objects being dropped on at least 10 boats from drones or aircrafts, causing damage. No fatalities have been reported. The extent of the damage will be fully assessed in daylight.
Coordinated Smear Campaign: Israel continues to falsely label the GSF the “Hamas flotilla,” asserting that it plans to engage in violent action. This disinformation campaign is an attempt to pre-emptively justify military action against a civilian-led, nonviolent, humanitarian mission.
/// Hundreds of elected representatives from across the EU demand immediate protection for the Global Sumud Flotilla after last night’s attacks in European waters. The letter comes as Italian MPs force their Government to deploy a naval vessel to safeguard their nationals at sea. Together with parliamentarians across the continent, we now call on other states to follow with protective presence to ensure the safe passage of the fleet as it establishes a humanitarian corridor to Gaza.
